When You SHOULD Meet That Needle! [Tips & Tricks]

Hai!
Have you ever faced a circumstance when you scared of something but you SHOULD do it without exception? Well, I have.

Last week I did some medical check up for my thyroid and the doctor asked me for laboratory check-up, means my blood should be taken!! Fyi, I have a trypanophobia a.k.a phobia with hypodermic needle. That horrible thing never touched my body after I got immunization when I was in elementary school but that night on Friday, November 22, 2013, was my first time after ages I've never allowed that thing touched my body. People say, "It's okay," "It won't hurt you," "You'll be fine," and the cliche sentence, "It only feel like bitten by an ant, not hurt at all." Well, when you are scared you will ignore others suggestion, right?

BUT, even though you hate that thing SO BAD like me, you can't avoid that for your entire life don't you? Therefore, here I give 5 tips and tricks to reduce the pain and your fear or anxiety when that 'ant' bite you :p

REVIEW: GET Dailygear Backpack (Indonesian Local Brand)

Hai!
If you are Indonesian, love to surf on youtube or maybe you are a fan of malesbanget.com, you might know that famous video-web series, Jalan Jalan Men. Hosted by Jebraw and Naya, this video-web series present a new-unique way to explore Indonesia (nature, culture, food and stuffs). Jebraw which is a vocalist of Real Band often make spontaneous songs about places he visits in every video. He is obsessed with Naya, a beautiful creative woman who accompanies him to travel around Indonesia.

Talking about Naya, when I stalked her Twitter and Instagram I found a picture of her bag which is cool! I thought it is a bag she uses in Jalan Jalan Men videos but I was wrong. Apparently, the bag she uses in her videos has similar size and style with the one she uploaded in her Instagram.

Naya and her bag
(taken from: http://instagram.com/p/f-O8efzepP/)
Well, the first time I saw that bag photo on her Instagram, I was like falling in love at the first sight. Fortunately she mentioned the manufacturer's ID on that post so I just directly stalked its Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Sharing is Caring. Let's Help Them!

Hello guys!

When I scrolled my Facebook homepage tonight, I found my friend shared a petition link to stop dog meat trade which is full of cruelty and it is happen in Jogja (actually it's happen in my hometown too)! As a dog lover, I straightly clicked the link and signed the petition. For me, dogs are my best friends. (Actually) not only dog, all animals can feel pain, hurt, and happy like human.

In my opinion, since my family own three dogs, I know that they (my dogs) can express their feelings, just like me, human. My dogs can show the expression when they are afraid to be punished after doing something wrong; when they are happy because I finally come home at weekends; even they can shout their protests to my parents when their dinner time is passed.

Reading the petition, I couldn't help my emotion. I felt angry, ashamed, pity, they are mixed into one feeling: sad.

If you are a dog eater or a dog seller, please read this petition.
If you are a dog lover, please sign.

Help to end this cruelty towards dog. Help them to have a better life, help them to be saved. Dogs are supposed to be human best friends, not foods.

P.S: The petition was written in Bahasa Indonesia.

Thank you for your help.
Hope all dogs' life will be better after this petition reached its' purpose(s) :)
Much love,
~eschilla & chaca

A Splendor of Telaga Warna, Dieng

Olla!

In the mood of blogging tonight. I'm typing while sipping my green tea now, oohh it feels sooo good! Tomorrow I'll start my new semester in Sadhar (Sanata Dharma University, my campus), time is surely goes fast! Can't believe I'll enter my fifth semester here, feels like I just entered this campus yesterday.

Last Thursday, mas Dody and I were going to Dieng, Wonosobo, a place that commonly said as the highest plateau in Java.

It's been months we planned to go there, actually we made many plans to go to several cities in Indonesia; Bali, Malang and Dieng. For Bali and Malang, we think we are not ready enough to go there because we should prepare more moneys. Therefore we choose Dieng, a closest city compared to the others, as our destination. At least we can reach this place by motorcycle :)
Honestly, one day we have made a plan to go to Dieng with mas Dody's friend, sadly his (mas Dody's friend) motorbike was broken that day so we cancelled it.

I don't know why but I feel like I have to go/travel somewhere new in my every holiday. This semester's holiday for example, for 2 months I hadn't travel to a new place and I feel so empty and bored. That's why before I start my new semester and do my (probably boring) daily activity, I insisted mas Dody to accompany me exploring a new place. I was so pleased he agreed to go! Fyi, that was the first time for both of us going to Dieng! :D

How was my adventure in Dieng? Let's explore this plateau together!

I Have a Dream :)

I am so proud of my sister who has been accepted in STIKES Bethesda (one of the best schools of nursing in Yogyakarta), she'll start her new life in the dorm start from next Tuesday.
I admired how she keep struggling on her dream, being a nurse, since she was adolescent. It was my mom who first told her to be a nurse because my mother's dream was being a nurse too. She didn't able to study in nursing school due to the economic problem at that time. Why she didn't told me, her eldest daughter, to be a nurse to accomplish her dream? Well, since I was a toddler, I am a coward girl. I'm afraid with many things; blood, dark, snake, ghost, a loud sound, crowd, math, number..... Hahaha, that's why my mom never have any intention to create me to be a nurse.

If my parents' friends or relatives ask me and my sister what and who will we be, my sister will directly say 'I want to be a nurse!'. Contrary to me, I will always say, "Umm, I don't know." It doesn't mean that I am jealous and envy with my sister. I don't! As I said before, I proud of her, sincerely proud. She will be a good international nurse in the future, I believe it :)

Talking about dream, I am a person who keep changing my dream. I cannot stay only in one dream for a long time, I keep changing it time to time.

Addicted to Baek Seung Jo! ♥♥♥

Hello everyone!

Been crazy with Korean drama, Playful Kiss. Have you ever watch this drama? Well, I recommend this drama for you to see in your free time or holiday or whenever you want to escape from your stressful activity because this tend to be romantic-comedy drama, you'll not waste your tears when you watch this :p
It's been 3 days I watch this Korean drama (again and again) and never get bored (yet) hohoho! I even slept at around 3 a.m because watching this drama, luckily my mother didn't know. If she knew, probably she would throws a tantrum to me hehehe!

This Korean Drama is about a girl named Oh Ha Ni, the dumbest person in her school, who has a crushed with Baek Seung Jo, the smartest person in her school. She already rejected and mocked in front of her friends by Baek Seung Jo but she still like him. The story become interesting when Ha Ni have to move to Seung Jo's house, at first she has no idea that it's his house, she is shock when she knows it. Baek Seung Jo's mother always tried to match her son with Oh Ha Ni, but Baek Seung Jo always act cold to Ha Ni and reject her all the time. One day, he and Ha Ni make an agreement; if Ha Ni can enter the top 50 student, Seung Jo will carry her around the school. Ha Ni agreed it of course, she do her best to study but she always fail until she asks Seung Jo for help. Seung Jo agree to help her, finally Ha Ni succeed enter the top 50 student but the story doesn't end here. While watching this drama, you will see Ha Ni's power to struggle to gain her goal. I adore Ha Ni's power to do that, and above all, I adore Baek Seung Jo's character. Totally cool! Just like my type! No wonder I got a boyfriend who has a character like him, cool like an ice and often cannot show his love properly :p Hihihi!

Congratulation for Kim Hyun-Joong who played a role as Baek Seung Jo perfectly! Honestly, when I saw him in Boys Before Flowers, I didn't like him because he looked like a weak gay with cakey foundation and heavy make-ups! Hehe :p

Though in real life I still think he puts too much make-ups on his face, but here in Playful Kiss he act like a real man with light make-up. And how he treats Oh Ha Ni mesmerized me, Baek Seung Jo (not Kim Hyun-Joong) is totally cuuutte and adorable!

Shocking But Amazing Night!

Last Tuesday (31/7/2013) night, we (my family and I) had a shocked but amazed experience.

This is nastar :9

That day my mom, my sister and I were making nastar cookies, our jars were empty and we were bored to buy snacks in the stores so we decided to make nastar. If you don’t know nastar, it is a cookie with pineapple jam fill in, very delicious and one of my favorite cookies :B

While making the cookies, our dog, Bunder always sat around us and his eyes followed our hands as if he wanted to join. For your information, in my family we have 3 dogs; Bunder, Chaca and Luca.
  • Bunder is the fat one and the only male dog in our house, very arrogant (he will attack any unknown animals or human that enter his territory) and he loves milk VERY MUCH. He is like a body guard for my family. His biggest enemy is snake, if there's snake enter our house he will tore the snake apart. Literally.
"'Sup?"
  • Chaca is a twin sister of Bunder, a skinny and tall woman, very shy but clever. Every time we give her food, she always brings it to her ‘dining table’. Yes, she has a dining table for her own! Can you believe it? I hope not because I’m just kidding hehe :p What we call ‘Chaha’s dining table’ is actually a doormat near the stairs, we call it ‘dining table’ because Chaca always brings her food there, like ALWAYS, no matter what.
"Hello, I'm Chaca!"
  • Luca is the only little girl in her pack, we often calls her Lunyu because she is so slick and hard to catch. She eats a lot but cannot grow up (literally), she always stay in cat size teeheee :p Luca is also like my father’s second wife because she always follow him everywhere and around 9 pm he will call my father to go to bed with whimpering while she enter the bedroom to and fro. Hehehe!

"Hai, I'm Luca! The cutest dog here ;)"
You see, my dog’s furs are white with several huge black spots on it, my friend once said when she looked at my dog’s photo on Instagram she accidentally wanted to eat oreo ice cream, LOL :D

Okay, those are only intermezzo, this is the real story.

New Puppy!

Holla!

It’s been a while me and my boyfriend were drowned in our sadness and regret because our puppy, Panda had passed away. He was a good boy, very clever and quite, it was our fault that we didn’t notice behind his quietness he was suffering for anemia. When we bought him to the hospital, he wasn’t able to get up and before the doctor came to check him, he was still able to lick me on the face. I thought he could survive but he didn’t, in the middle of the night he’s gone, running to reach Heaven, he rest in peace.

RIP Panda :'(
Done with all of the sadness, it took at least two months for me to forgive myself for my unawareness of Panda’s illness. “Life must go on,” just like Panda’s doctor said. Finally after learning how to be a good “parents” and how to take care of puppy, read many articles about puppy, we open our heart for a new baby. At first we planned to buy a beagle puppy from our friend but we cancelled it after another friend offered a puppy for adoption, not a breed dog, in Indonesia we call it ‘anjing kampung’.

MUST HAVE ITEMS (If you live in a boarding house, like me :D)

As a college student, I have to live on my own now, apart from my parents because I'm studying in Yogyakarta which is 2 hours far from my house. Here in Jogja, I live in a perfectly comfortable boarding house near my campus, totally comfortable because we have a little garden full of trees in the center of the house soo we can have fresh air every time even when the weather is hot and the owner also provides TV cable in the living room! Ahhh tante Endang is sooo kind (^__^)

Since I live on my own, I have to manage everything all by myself, I have to be independent in taking care of my little 'house' hohohoho. Here, I have several items that I cannot live without (not literally). These items have not only one functions, one of them have like two functions for me therefore I listed them as must have items.

Why did I make this blog?

Been asking this question to myself all day long. Why did I make this blog? Was it to get famous or was it to learn writing in English?

The very first time this question came up was after realized that I opened my blog more than 10 times in a day I guess, and the first thing that I checked was comments and the followers. Then, tonight, after discovered what bloglovin is, I realized that I am no longer in my previous vision in making this blog anymore. At first, I said to myself that this blog is only to practice, nothing to expect whether people want to read or to follow it or not, it didn't really matter. But theeennn, after I did some blogwalkings then the feeling wants-to-be-like-others came. To be honest, this is one of my weird personalities, I am a kind of person who can quickly wants to be somebody then will follow someone's style or behavior because I want to be like him/er though I know somehow this isn't right.

Before I made this blog, I was thinking about what was the focus of this blog would be? Should I do some reviews on skincares and make-ups like many blogs I've visited? Or should I just blabbing my thoughts here so this blog would be like my previous blogs? Or...I don't know.

Perhaps, this is what people said about "identity crisis". When you cannot be yourself, always wanna be like anyone else. I don't want to blame myself in this case because I don't do anything wrong. In my opinion, this is just another way to grow up, somehow I believe this part will sculpt me to be who I really am.

Well, I'm a nineteen years old girl though, there will be so much paths to be chosen ahead. As a Christian, I believe Jesus will lead me somehow, He will help me to be a person that really suits me and His plans for me.  Hopefully, I will not seeking for attentions (comments, readers and followers) for this blog anymore because, the answered of the question is I made this blog for practicing my skill, developing myself and sharing what I have. Que sera sera, will do what I wanna do with my best then =D

Review: Kobe BonCabe

Holla!

As an Indonesian, I totally loooovvveeee spicy foods! It feels like eating tofu without seasonings if I eat without condiment or Indonesian call it sambal. To make sambal I usually need many ingredients like onion, garlic, terasi and of course chili, and it needs my power or energy to mixture and to blend them.

But, no need to bother myself anymore because I have this Kobe Boncabe =D This sambal packed in a powder form and I usually pour it on rice, meatball or any foods that I eat. As simple as that =D

BonCabe has 4 levels of spiciness:

Food Recipe: Healthy Yummy Omelet ♥

Hello, everyone!

Have you ever felt dreadfully starving but don't have much time to cook (due to your hunger) and too lazy to go outside to buy food? Or, are you sick eating unhealthy instant foods? Don't worry! You know what, there is an instant and affordable meal you can make in your own kitchen...or in your boarding house/dorm's kitchen! :D

Well, this afternoon I'm sooooo starving but don't have any food in home :'( My mom is in Borneo for a month so my father have to take care of me and my sister. As a man, my father is not really care like my mom, you know typically men, he's kind of indifferent man or we call it in Indonesia "cuek". My Papa usually buy food outside for lunch but today he doesn't buy any because he is tooo busy :(

Back to the omelet! :B

To make this healthy and yummy omelet, you only need:

• 1/4 carrot - a string bean - a sausage - an onion - two red peppers (if you like spicy food) - a garlic •
...and don't forget

 an egg! :D
plus butter to fry the egg and salt for seasoning (only as much as you need) ;)

OK, let's get started!

Kinah (Bali) Rejo

Last Saturday (June, 8), after finishing all my take-home final assignments, I asked mas Dody to accompany me visiting Kaliurang. It's typically me whenever I feel stressed and bored with college stuffs, I have to go somewhere, a place with trees and fresh air. On the way, rain was falling down as if they want to greet us before we 'climbed' that hill. Fyi, Kaliurang is a small village in Yogyakarta that located in the slope of Merapi. The air is fresh because many trees are planted there. When I was in high school, I usually go to Kaliurang with my friends from Student Christian Community (we call it in Indonesia, Persekutuan Siswa Kristen) to hold our annual retreat. The last time I visited Kaliurang was for a Solidarity Night from SEXEN organization I joined in the first year of my college. If you are a person who looking for a peace and fresh air, Kaliurang is absolutely a must-have-visited place when you visit Yogyakarta.

Sadly, the scenery in Kaliurang now no longer as beautiful as it was. Because of Merapi eruption, which was quite big, in 2010, the trees there were destroyed by volcanic smoke that usually called wedhus gembel. Luckily, they are already recovered by now. Yey! :D

We ride our motorcycle around this village but we couldn't find our destination yet until mas Dody saw a board titled "Goa Jepang" and he insisted me to visit it! Hooowww crruueelll!!!! I already heard many stories about that spooky cave. My cousins visited that cave about couple years ago and they said they found many "uncommon" and unseen things there. Okay you may say I'm a coward but I'd rather back home peacefully than back home with a paranoid feeling. Anyway, we still visited that cave only we did not enter the cave, we only saw the scenery and we (me, actually) tried our best to stay away from the cave.

We couldn't find any interesting place in Kaliurang because we got there at around 4 p.m and many places were nearly to be closed so mas Dody asked me to go to Kali Adem in Cangkringan. I felt soooooo excited because I hadn't go to that place before.

Heyho!

For the uncountable times I make a new blog over and over again. Hah! I wish with this blog I can commit myself more in writing, especially writing in English since now I'm studying in English Department and of course I need to develop my skills more and more.

To be honest, I'm quite doubting myself to write in English. Well, my maximal grade in Structure class is C, I even got D for my Structure II class therefore I have to repeat it this semester (now I'm in the 4th semester). And I don't even known how much my TOEFL score since I haven't take it before. When I see the fact that my skill in English Structure is totally low, I come to the conclusion that it is a big no no to write a blog in English. People will read this blog and how if they cannot get what I mean if I cannot write this properly in English? Well, I salute them who confidence with writing in English though they make many grammatical mistakes. They are soooo brave!

But, after I read a post about fighting the mental block by Alitt Susanto (click here if you want to read it), then my thought was suddenly changed like, "Hey! You haven't try write a blog in English right? Who knows you can improve your skill from your personal blog?" and I was like, "You right!". So here I am! My previous blogs are totally messed up, so I decided to make this new one.

Hopefully through this blog I can develop my skill in writing and also my self-confidence so that I can be more humble and down to earth and of course, open minded! Cheers! :D
