Shocking But Amazing Night!

Last Tuesday (31/7/2013) night, we (my family and I) had a shocked but amazed experience.

This is nastar :9

That day my mom, my sister and I were making nastar cookies, our jars were empty and we were bored to buy snacks in the stores so we decided to make nastar. If you don’t know nastar, it is a cookie with pineapple jam fill in, very delicious and one of my favorite cookies :B

While making the cookies, our dog, Bunder always sat around us and his eyes followed our hands as if he wanted to join. For your information, in my family we have 3 dogs; Bunder, Chaca and Luca.
  • Bunder is the fat one and the only male dog in our house, very arrogant (he will attack any unknown animals or human that enter his territory) and he loves milk VERY MUCH. He is like a body guard for my family. His biggest enemy is snake, if there's snake enter our house he will tore the snake apart. Literally.
"'Sup?"
  • Chaca is a twin sister of Bunder, a skinny and tall woman, very shy but clever. Every time we give her food, she always brings it to her ‘dining table’. Yes, she has a dining table for her own! Can you believe it? I hope not because I’m just kidding hehe :p What we call ‘Chaha’s dining table’ is actually a doormat near the stairs, we call it ‘dining table’ because Chaca always brings her food there, like ALWAYS, no matter what.
"Hello, I'm Chaca!"
  • Luca is the only little girl in her pack, we often calls her Lunyu because she is so slick and hard to catch. She eats a lot but cannot grow up (literally), she always stay in cat size teeheee :p Luca is also like my father’s second wife because she always follow him everywhere and around 9 pm he will call my father to go to bed with whimpering while she enter the bedroom to and fro. Hehehe!

"Hai, I'm Luca! The cutest dog here ;)"
You see, my dog’s furs are white with several huge black spots on it, my friend once said when she looked at my dog’s photo on Instagram she accidentally wanted to eat oreo ice cream, LOL :D

Okay, those are only intermezzo, this is the real story.

My house is surrounding by rice field and these days, the farmers are fighting against rat disease, that’s why they set electric wires around their fields and my house automatically surrounded by those wires. Before they set it, they first gave us some suggestion to not let out the dogs after twilight because they will turn on the electricity. We agreed and always watched over our dogs to not go out by then, if they wanted to pee, we provided free space upstairs for them.

That night, my sister was cooking instant noodles for all of us when she let the dogs out though we already warned them. I don’t have any idea how she could be that stubborn and careless. Well at that time there’s a cat outside and Bunder, as usual his arrogant soul out. He broke the bamboos fence and out into the field. And yes, he touched the electricity wire and got a shocked. When we saw him, his body was already stiff and we smelled burnt skin.

We were shock, of course, moreover my Mom because Bunder is like my mom’s youngest child. My sister screamed, “Bunder is death!” while she reached his body, I shocked and I didn’t know how to do except screamed and called my Dad. In one minute my Dad came, took Bunder home then plunged him into water, my Mom poured the water over Bunder’s body and I made a glass of warm milk and insisted Bunder to gulp it. Bunder’s mouth was still stiff but his eyes could blink a little. I forced his mouth to open, poured milk into with spoon then touched his tongue, his tongue responded after I touched it for 3-4 times and he drank the milk. We almost lost our hope because Bunder’s breath was getting low, but my Mom continues to pray, asked God to give him life.

I think it’s around a half an hour he was plunged in the water then my Dad took him out. His feces were out from his butt and his breath was still low. My Mom took a cotton pad and alcohol 70% then she spread the alcohol onto the cotton pad and placed it in front of Bunder’s nose while she kept on praying asked God to give Bunder life. Slowly Bunder moved his head to avoid the cotton pad with mourning, but my Mom followed every Bunder’s move to insist him smelled the alcohol. Bunder’s mourning was getting loud and loud, he not only moved his head but his body and front feet also. He tried to stand but his back feet still stiff and my Mom never give up insisted him to smell the alcohol. Bunder kept trying to stand and this time he succeeded! He could stand and walk a little though in seconds he fell but he kept on trying. I was amazed and couldn’t believe what I see, the dog in front of me is alive after got shocked by 220V electricity wire! If it wasn’t God working to give him life, maybe he has been passed away right now.

Maybe at that time Bunder was still shocked, he groaning every time we wanted to touch him. It was my luck when I tried to kiss him and he gave me a kiss too, but I think he was too excited because his kiss turned into a hurt kiss. Heheheee, yess, he bite me on my nose and upper lip, at that time they were directly swollen but now it’s over and the scars fading too.
Well, we gave Bunder a glass of milk at that time to help him recovered his stamina (we spent 4 sachets of milk for Bunder only! Hahahaha). When I called a vet and told her the details of Bunder’s condition, she said he already okay as long as he could walk and eat.

Today, Bunder is being a healthy boy though the scars near his left eye and in his back feet were still in recovery. He is able to run and to bark as usual though he spends his day with sleeping, but we can see his progress!

Bunder's progress:

His Happy face ^__^

Swollen nose and lip after got bitten by Bunder hoho
Honestly, I don't feel any pain at all!
Wow! This is quite a long post isn’t it? I hope you’re not getting bored and confused by my words while reading this. You know, I’m still trying to improve my English writing skill so help me with give some corrections or suggestion or lessons maybe? I will be very glad to learn more and more!

Thank you for reading, if you don’t like read long words in English please visit my personal blog I write in Bahasa Indonesia here.

P.S: That night I called mas Dody to ask him the vet’s number, but instead of sent me the number he came to my home! He only wore shirt and short at that time. Oh yes he did give me the number but he spelled it on the phone so I had to write it over first. You know, it’s hard to find even a sheet of paper when you are in a panic situation -___- I’m glad he cares about my family even my dogs! J

Until next time, take care and God bless you!
