REVIEW: GET Dailygear Backpack (Indonesian Local Brand)

If you are Indonesian, love to surf on youtube or maybe you are a fan of malesbanget.com, you might know that famous video-web series, Jalan Jalan Men. Hosted by Jebraw and Naya, this video-web series present a new-unique way to explore Indonesia (nature, culture, food and stuffs). Jebraw which is a vocalist of Real Band often make spontaneous songs about places he visits in every video. He is obsessed with Naya, a beautiful creative woman who accompanies him to travel around Indonesia.

Talking about Naya, when I stalked her Twitter and Instagram I found a picture of her bag which is cool! I thought it is a bag she uses in Jalan Jalan Men videos but I was wrong. Apparently, the bag she uses in her videos has similar size and style with the one she uploaded in her Instagram.

Well, the first time I saw that bag photo on her Instagram, I was like falling in love at the first sight. Fortunately she mentioned the manufacturer's ID on that post so I just directly stalked its Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

I found that the manufacturer of this bag is Get Dailygear, a local company which was founded by the youth who live in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. I browsed its Facebook and I found a photo album which grabbed my attention, the name of the album is GET #BROMO. The album contains several photos of backpack which is the same style with Naya's backpack.

I am a big fan and a lover of backpack because it's very useful and practical for me. I can bring many things with it and still feel comfortable because my hands are free. I don't really like using handbag because I move a lot, I have to keep my hands free otherwise I will drop things on my hands. Yeah, I am that clumsy girl. I also don't really like sling bag because it will focuses the weight only on one of my shoulder, I don't want my shoulder become you know, not symmetrical, so I avoid sling bag whenever possible.

So when browsing that album, my attention was caught to a backpack with cute mint color. Once again, I was struck by love at the first sight.

When I checked the price is Rp 260.000, well actually for me that price is expensive. You know, I never spent my money to buy any bag more than Rp 100.000 before. Fortunately, I saved my money and it was collected Rp 200.000 so I decided to buy this bag. To cover the less, I took my money from my weekly allowance, so I had to economize my spending for a week. I was very interested because this is my first time buying an expensive bag (for me) with my own money! :D Sounds exaggerating but that's the reality.

I ordered and fulfilled the payment of the bag on Monday, 18 November 2013. Actually I was interested with another color but finally I decided to buy the mint one. They proceed the shipping on Tuesday, 19 November 2013 and I got my bag on Friday, 22 November 2013. My feeling when I received the bag? Extremely happy! I couldn't stop smiling when I opened the packaging! :D

I am satisfied with this bag because it is water resistant (or even, repellent), has a big compartment with an inserted pocket for my laptop, and it has many pockets! The straps of the shoulder is soft so when I bring many things in my bag, I don't feel pain on my shoulders! :D For me, this is the best backpack I own after my previous bag when I was in junior high school :D
